MS 202 Water Outlets Lead Testing Information
This is a follow up to a letter informing you that your school’s water outlets would be tested for lead in 2025.
On March 15, 2025, all operational sources of water at I.S. 202 - Queens (J.H.S. 202 Robert H.
Goddard at 138-30 Lafayette Street Queens, NY 11417), including for drinking or cooking, were
tested for the presence of lead. The laboratory results showed elevated levels of lead in 7 of the 84 samples outlets from which water was taken and tested. Any drinking or cooking outlet with
elevated levels was immediately taken out of service, and will remain out of service until it is successfully remediated. Details of elevated results are attached and complete test results are posted on the DOE website at https://www.schools.nyc.gov/schools/Q202. Click “Reports” and look for the “Facilities” heading.
